GLoGtober Challenge #3: Animal-people, for an animal you've never seen made into animal-people before.
Dinofolk are a heterogeneous group of reptilian humanoid species that intermingle freely with the humans, elves, and dwarves that share their domain. As a rule, dinofolk architecture supports lots of headroom and favors freedom of movement to support their diversity of physiology. They tend to form settlements in their favored biomes:
- In a Savannah, their settlements are sprawling, many storied affairs filled with wide boulevards and sweeping arches.
- In an Arboreal biome, their settlements connect from tree trunk to tree trunk, featuring gliding platforms to allow the many feathered subspecies to traverse the place at speed.
- In an Aquatic biome, settlements emerge from shallow water, tracked by canals instead of roads.
Since ancient times, carnivorous dinofolk have sworn off the consumption of other intelligent species. Egg eating is still a disputed practice, though eating other dinofolk eggs is strictly taboo. Stigmas from before this cultural agreement are still felt today, however.
The entries below follow Skerples' notation system for player species. "Favored Attribute" represents a reroll at character creation, but could easily be a bonus. These rules also assume you have an Advantage system. It doesn't really matter whether that applies a bonus, a reroll, or any other system, but some tuning may be required.
